Saturday 21 March 2026 · 5:30 PM · Bourse Square
On Saturday 21 March, we will come together for Sadaka Tea, a public gathering to carry forward the cultural energy sparked by Molenbeek for Brussels 2030 and to nurture a shared vision for Brussels.
Over the past months, a wide community of residents, artists, associations and cultural partners has come together around this journey. Sadaka Tea is a reminder that this collective movement continues — and that a participatory cultural future for Brussels remains more essential than ever.
Why join?
21 March marks the first day of spring, a symbol of renewal. On the eve of the commemorations marking ten years since the attacks of 22 March, we gather with a simple message: Brussels stands — together — strengthened by its cultural, linguistic and social diversity.
After a long period of political uncertainty, we feel a shared need to look ahead together. This moment is an invitation to reconnect, to generate positive energy, and to reaffirm the role culture and solidarity play in shaping the city we want to live in.
Sadaka Tea is not just an event — it is a collective gesture. We believe that residents, artists, associations and cultural initiatives all contribute to setting Brussels in motion, each in their own way.

Programme
Together, we will take part in a symbolic and participatory moment:
2:00 PM – 5:00 PM · Collective workshop
A space to express wishes and aspirations for a livable, inclusive Brussels. These contributions will come together in a collective visual installation.
5:30 PM · Tea sharing, words and music
A moment of generosity and connection, inspired by traditions where sharing tea creates space for listening, calm and encounter.
Throughout the weekend, the collective scenography will remain visible — a trace of our shared voices and imaginations.
More than ever, this is an invitation to move forward together toward a Brussels that feels united, confident and open. Sadaka evokes generosity, empathy, altruism and solidarity — the spirit of sharing that exists across many cultures and languages around the world.
Come with friends, family, neighbours or colleagues to share this convivial moment.
Tea will be offered, and you are welcome to bring something sweet to share if you wish.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday 21 March at 5.30 pm on Bourse Square. Together, to rekindle pride in Brussels.
